Mahindra Rejects $35 Million GV Pickup Order

A press release this morning indicates that Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd has rejected a USD $35 million order for the Indian made Mahindra compact diesel pickup trucks placed by its US importer and business partner, Global Vehicles USA.

The release goes on to state:

“Mahindra views this order as another example of Global Vehicles' policy of engaging in PR theatrics while pursuing an unnecessary lawsuit. This is Global Vehicles' continued attempt to manipulate the press to damage Mahindra's reputation. Mahindra also believes that this is an attempt by Global Vehicles to distract Mahindra from pursuing other plans to bring its vehicle to the US market.”

Anyone know if the Baby Ram will come with a diesel? Or the Jeep Gladiator?

GV USA must know the order will be rejected before even sending it to M&M. It's a pure stunt by GV trying to raise the expectations among dealers and customers and throw M&M under the bus for rejecting it.. People are not stupid to think that it’s a genuine effort.. tons of information on the internet reveals GV's poor track record..

Well that was a big surprise. This is really getting ridiculous. Enough already. Mahindra, just get these damn trucks here already. How much more evidence do you need to understand that this is the ideal time to bring these trucks here? With the Ranger on its way out and the Colorado and Canyon possibly following similar paths, the compact/midsize segment is dying!
